Accommodation in Hamilton
There are three main accommodation options available to you: home-stay, hostel or flatting.

Home-stay Accommodation
Home-stay is where you get to stay with New Zealand families in their homes, and experience the joy and richness of other cultures and customs, different from your own. Home-stay is one of the greatest experiences you can ever have if you travel, and you will make a lot of new friends.
Our home-stay hosts are carefully selected for their kind and caring responsibilities. You will get to improve on your English by talking to them all the time; you will also be able to enjoy family activities, celebrations, religious practices and sporting events.
Hostel Accommodation
The YWCA Hostel is about 10 minutes walk from Wintec city campus. It is very close to the Waikato Hospital, lake, supermarkets and the Central Business District of Hamilton. It provides permanent or casual accommodation for both males and females.
Brookfield Accommodation is a student focused residential complex that is designed to accommodate medium and long term students. The residential complex is capable of accommodating approximately 300 residents and is set on a 5 acres of mature park-like land.
Flatting
Flatting is when you rent a home with a group of your friends. If you share a house or flat with other residents for either long or short-term, then according to the arrangements of the establishment, you will be responsible for your own:
- cooking
- cleaning
- water rates
- telephone bills
- power bills
